Easy Pumpkin Soup

I love this time of the year. Summer is ending, the nights are cool, and the sun starts to set earlier each night. It’s time for the ultimate comfort food; pumpkin soup. I created this recipe while searching the Internet for an easy pumpkin soup. I did not have all the ingredients listed in the various recipes I found, so I decided to create my own!
Ingredients:
2 cans 15 ounce 100% pumpkin purée 4 cups chicken broth 1.5 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 3/4 cup heavy cream
Simply add all the ingredients in a soup pot and whisk. Bring to a low boil and turn the burner down to low. Stir every few minutes, heat for 30 minutes. I served mine with roasted chicken and potatoes, you could also make biscuits and dip in the soup as well!
