Patio Transformation

Spring is here, with summer just around the corner. It's time for margaritas, barbecues and sunshine and I couldn't be more excited. This weekend my hubby and I got our backyard ready for summer. We have spent the last two days pulling weeds, laying mulch, mowing the lawn, sweeping the patio and finally, the fun part, styling the patio for entertaining..and okay you got me, hubby did most (all) of the yard work ;-). This weekend calls for sunshine and 80 degree weather! Fire up the blender, send the kids to grandma's and let's have a little fun!
Last year we fenced in our backyard to make it safer for our toddler and three dogs. We have a beautiful, brick patio that is just begging for some love. As of last week, we only had a a set of chairs and a love seat for guests. We have been searching for a table and chairs since last summer and finally found one at Menards this past week!

The table is made of a very sturdy, wood-like material. It looks like wood but feels like steel. It is VERY heavy. We paired it with a set of black, wicker, bistro-style chairs. The chairs were very reasonably priced and the table was also on sale. The table is a solid piece that will last many years if treated properly.
Being parents, we rarely have the opportunity to go out, this means we spend a lot of time at home. We spend a lot of that time around the bonfire pit on weekends, after Cal has gone to bed. Menards has the best sales in summer time, we picked up this oil-rubbed bronze, outdoor fireplace the other day. It was easy to assemble and looks great! We even found a more appealing way to conceal Cal's toys when not in use.
Check out the before and after transformation. Thanks for stopping by!
